Recently, the Hunan Society of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering announced the evaluation results of the 17th Hunan Youth Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Award. Dr. Tan Jianping, from the School of Materials and Chemical Engineering of our school, won the award.

The Hunan Youth Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Award was established in 1989. It is the earliest academic award established by the Hunan Society of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. It aims to promote the development of chemistry and chemical engineering in Hunan province, give full play to the important role of scientific and technological talents in promoting independent innovation, cultivate scientific and technological innovation talents and pioneers in chemistry and chemical engineering, and encourage young chemistry and chemical science and technology workers to make new contributions to the innovation-oriented construction of Hunan. The award is selected every two years, and a total of 9 young scholars in the province have won this honor.
