Recently, Xiangtan Association for Science and Technology conducted the 2020 work assessment and selected 4 outstanding university science and technology associations and 10 outstanding societies. HIE Association for Science and Technology ranked first and was rated as Excellent. This is the second time that HIE has awarded the honor.

In this assessment, the Xiangtan Association for Science and Technology, in accordance with the requirements of the work plan, reviewed in such aspects as self-evaluation, mutual evaluation, daily evaluation and viewing materials. The Association for Science and Technology of HIE is a mass academic organization for scientific and technological workers under the leadership of the school’s party committee, and it is a bridge to connect the vast number of scientific and technological workers. It advocates "Inheritance, Innovation, Truth-Seeking, and Collaboration". It aims at promoting the prosperity and development of science and technology, popularizing it, enhancing talents training, and protecting legitimate rights and interests of the group.

In recent years, HIE Association for Science and Technology has actively organized and carried out applications for numerous projects at municipal and provincial level. It will continue dedicating itself to providing service for its group.
